OUR STORY
Tara Institute of Mental Health Pvt Ltd was established in 2013. Our patrons, Dr K Vijayakrishnan MBBS MD and Dr Radha MBBS DGO bring a vast amount of experience and knowledge to the organisation having managed Jyothi Hospital in Mananthavady since 1975.
Malika Verma and Dr Ajay Vijayakrishnan relocated to Kozhikode in Kerala from London, UK in 2014 to realise their dream of developing a world class mental health centre with a specific focus on psychoanalytic psychotherapy. They now live and work in Melbourne, Australia and where they have founded
Late Shri Om Prakash, Retd Chief Justice of the High Court of Kerala and Former Governor of Punjab continues as a guiding light for this organisation with his clarity of vision and insistence on the highest standards of probity and ethics.
In addition we are fortunate to have ongoing support and supervision from many of the best minds in the world of psychoanalysis worldwide. These include but are not limited to: Mr. Stephen Dreyer, Mr. Michael Mercer & Mrs. Irma Brenman Pick, Fellows of the British Psychoanalytic Society, London, and Dr Susan Howard, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist Guildford, UK.

In 2021, Dr Zoheb Raj MD took over operations and management of the Clinic in Kozhikode.
